Where are clean air purged trolleys used?

Clean air purged transport trolleys (RTW) are used for the internal transport of materials that need to be transported between different cleanroom environments and that can be damaged by particles. To minimise the effort involved in this transport, a transport trolley can be used and the time taken can be reduced by repeated packing and unpacking.

But what features and advantages do such clean air purged trolleys offer?

• Material properties: Only stainless steel, aluminium and glass are used for the transport trolleys. The doors can also have a conductive coating on one side. Plastic elements are deliberately avoided as far as possible to prevent outgassing.
• Ultra-pure air supply: The integrated fan-filter modules generate a horizontal flow. The clean air inside the trolley is filtered again and again using the recirculation principle. This achieves an air purity class ISO 3 – 5 (according to DIN EN ISO 14644-1), depending on the version. 
• Separation of the individual clean areas: The individual compartments can be supplied individually with clean air. Cross-contamination is prevented. 
• Ergonomics: The light, manoeuvrable design, movable castors and low overall height allow the transport trolley to be transported comfortably and safely without restricting the field of vision.
• Transport in battery mode: Another advantage of the transport trolley is the option of integrating a battery buffer system. The trolley can be moved wirelessly to another position. The battery life is approx. 2 hours.
